Before you install Extension Overload, make sure that you have a compatible Mac. Your Macintosh must meet the following requirements:
* a 68020 or newer processor – which means that Macs with 68000 processors are excluded but all others are fine, including Macs with a PowerPC processor.
* 2 MB of free RAM. This means that when you choose “About this Macintosh” or “About this Computer” from the Apple menu in the Finder, the largest unused block must be at least 2 MB.
* System 7 or Mac OS 8 is required. All versions from 7.0 through 8.6 are supported.
Installing Extension Overload
The installation process is simplicity itself: Copy the Extension Overload application to your hard disk. You can put it wherever you want; it does not need to be put in a special location. For the SIVC features to work you will also need to copy the SIVC Query Engine to your hard disk. We recommend that you put it in the extensions folder, but anywhere on the disk will do.
